Questions before you spend paper
Concrete answers about order, rotation, sizes, privacy, and PDF limits.01Why are blank pages added?
A folded sheet creates four pages. Pliego completes the next multiple of four and labels inserted blanks; it never confuses them with a blank page already present in your PDF.
See related explanation →02Why do some pages look upside down?
On a sheet, pages that look rotated or out of order become correct after both sides are printed and folded. If the physical back is upside down, test the 180° back rotation.
See related explanation →03What does duplex mean?
It means printing both sides of a sheet. Automatic mode creates one interleaved PDF; manual mode creates separate front and back files.
See related explanation →04Long edge or short edge?
A landscape sheet folded down the middle usually needs short-edge flip. Drivers label and apply this differently, so always confirm with one marked sheet.
See related explanation →05Can I print a 6-page booklet?
Yes. The result has eight positions: your six originals and two blanks appended at the end. You can see where they land before downloading.
See related explanation →06Does my PDF leave the browser?
Not while it is read, imposed, previewed, or downloaded: those operations stay in local memory. Hosting still receives normal requests that serve the app; a Vercel preview may include its toolbar.
See related explanation →07Why does page order look strange?
The outer sheet needs the last page beside the first. Its other side pairs page two with the penultimate page; folding restores reading order.
See related explanation →08Which paper size should I choose?
A4 makes an approximately A5 booklet; Letter makes half-Letter. Content is fitted proportionally with margins, so exact 1:1 scale is not promised.
See related explanation →09Why print a test sheet first?
It prevents wasting the job when a tray feeds the other face, reverses sheet order, or the driver rotates backs. Mark top and front in pencil and test page one of each file.
See related explanation →10Can encrypted PDFs be used?
No. Save a password-free copy. The selector validates locally and explains whether a file is encrypted, damaged, empty, over 80 pages, or larger than 10 MiB.
See related explanation →11Which printers are supported?
Any printer that accepts the chosen size may work, but Pliego cannot detect tray direction, physical margins, or driver rotation. Automatic needs duplex; manual uses one-sided printing and reinsertion.
See related explanation →12What happens with landscape or mixed-size PDFs?
Each page is normalized from its CropBox and rotation, then fitted proportionally. Inspect the preview: forms, signatures, links, and actions are not transferred.
