Why booklets count in fours

Every folded sheet contributes four pages. Blanks complete the structure, and Pliego shows exactly where they land.

4 × ceil(n ÷ 4)

One folded sheet always opens four positions.

Pliego adds only the missing positions at the end. In preview, an inserted blank is hatched and labelled; an original page with no ink keeps its page number.

The blanks land on the outer sheet.

They are not inserted between original pages: they fill positions 7 and 8. After folding, they sit at the end of the booklet.
